Museum Renovation

Active Society patrons instrumental in bringing this vision to fruition have been Jim and Frankie Meyer, Donna and David Sparlin, Fred and Raylene Lamb, Bill and Dorothy Beauchamp, Gene Hall, Jenny Mikeska, Carol Klein, Dora Latty, William Mosby, and Laurie Bennett.

The Renovation process began in February, 2007. All renovation efforts have been the result of volunteer labor. Gene and Margaret Hall were invaluable in their effort to coordinate the “Day of Caring” through the United Way. John Hobbs, United Way Coordinator, organized for the Wal-Mart Team to work on the Museum building on April 18th. This team completed tasks to provide a facelift to the exterior of the Museum. The carpeting was laid professionally on June 29, leaving only minor repairs to be made to the downstairs area.
