To Make A Donation

Donations to the McDonald County Historical Society are tax deductible. The society was granted a 501(c)3 tax exempt status in 2006. All donors will be provided with a receipt from our Treasurer, whether the donation is memorabilia, artifacts, or a monetary contribution. The Society graciously appreciates all contributions made to further the goal of protecting and preserving our County's heritage and history.

The McDonald County Historical Society is funded fully by the financial support of members and donor contributions. Even though the Society is in the process of accepting the challenge of grant writing to apply for further funding, contributions from individuals are invaluable to us. The Society has currently undertaken several projects simultaneously. If the donor has a preference, please indicate which of the Society’s projects the donation is helping to fund.

Memorabilia and Artifacts Donations

Please consider sharing the history of McDonald County with others by donating historical artifacts to the Museum. History was not meant to be buried in a basement or hidden in an attic. The past should be shared, not hoarded away. By allowing the Society to display your artifacts, you can help preserve McDonald County's Heritage for generations to come. The Society is dedicated to identify, collect, preserve, interpret, and disseminate materials and information pertaining to what is now known as McDonald County, Missouri. Historic memorabilia and artifacts may be donated to the McDonald County Museum by contacting any member of the board.
