The McDonald County Historical Society is a non-profit 501c3 organization with more than 100 members. The Society’s not-for-profit status was established in 2003 and the Society operates within its bylaws and board policies.

The mission of the McDonald County Historical Society is to preserve the County's history by documenting, researching, and sharing information, data, and research with the public.
